United States Deputy Attorney General James Comey came to South Bend, Indiana during the Second Annual "Keeping Our Communities Safe" Conference to give a presentation on Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) and meet area law enforcement. Mr. Comey is very enthusiastic about PSN led programs and their potential impact on society.

IBIS Awards Issued During "Keeping Our communities Safe" Conference

IBIS awards - South BendOn April 20, 2004, the first day of the U.S. Attorney's Office-Northern District of Indiana Second Annual "Keeping Our communities Safe" Conference, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives presented integrated ballistics information system submission awards to three police agencies throughout IBIS awards - Fort Waynethe Northern District of Indiana. These awards were to acknowledge that Ft. Wayne, South Bend and the Indiana State Police(Pictures Below)have traced every firearm taken off the street by their officers. Departments that trace every firearm increase their chances of solving gun cases. Presenting the IBIS awards from the IBIS awards - Indiana State PoliceBureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were Assistant Special Agent in Charge from the Columbus Field Division, Michael Golson; Resident Agent in Charge of the Merrillville Office, Eric Ellis; and Special Agent David Coulson, of the Merrillville Office.

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) National Conference
